head gasket!! wrong size?

head gasket!! wrong size?

I got a head gasket for my 383 build (.30 over)they head gasket i ordered was felpro 1074.on the bottom of the gasket it says

GASKET BORE-4.125" (is that too big for my .30")??
comp. volume-8.7cc thickness .39..(will this increase compression any)?

Many smallblock gaskets are that large not ideal but not the end of the world either.
Far as increasing compression, over what, you are changing the whole rotating assembly, the gasket needs to be choosen to work with the hardparts.

On an otherwise stock motor it would increase compression since the stock gasket is .049 but whith a new crank and all that means NOTHING.

No that's the right gasket if you have the block zero decked.
