The Edelbrock heads aren't worth the money. The LT4 heads flow just as well, if not better than the edelbrock heads. They are also less expensive and better built.

As for a cam, i would check out www.cmotorsports.com They also do AMAZING head work.

If u want something pretty choppy i would recommend the Hot Cam Kit. It includes Springs, Shims and even 1.6 roller rockers along with the cam. The cam operates on a 112 LSA, so it will be nice and lopey at idle.

I have the CC305, it makes more power than the hot cam (in general) and with Long tube headers, 3" hooker y, and a catback, it sounds REALLY nice at idle. You can definitely hear the lope (maybe not quite as much as the hot cam but it's worth it to have a few more horses isnt it?). Some other good cams to look into are the Comp XE series like the XE224/230. I don't have any 1st hand experience on them, but from people on here, they tend to be pretty happy with them. I'm extremely happy with my setup though, I can hang with cammed LS1s w 4.10s, and I only have 3.42s!.......so ROCK ON w/ the 305!

I'm certainly curious to see what sort of #'s people get with those edelbrock castings. I'd really like to get ahold of a set, as the past sets ive had have had quite a bit of material & left plenty of room to go town porting them

For your stuff though, I'd agree with Wheelman.. stick a hotcam kit in it & save $ for decent heads in the future - whether that means LT1's, or the edelbrocks (after more guys act as guinea pigs) .
