Hard to start issue

My car started having an issue this week. Basically, if the car sits for a couple of hours, it has a hard time starting. Other issues I have had is, popping noise when I shift, and popping when I let my foot off the gas and keep the car in gear (while driving). Also, at about 2k rpms I get a little bit of hesitation (car kinda jerks).

The car has 94k miles on it, and I just had the oil changed (5w30 Mobil 1). The spark plugs were changed 3k miles ago and wires were changed at 77k. Fuel filter was changed at 3k miles ago and K&N filter was cleaned and recharged also. The MAF was super dirty so I cleaned that also. It has a new Optima battery (about 1k miles on it). Also, when I turn the key on, I hear the fuel pump running. About 2k miles ago, my friend scanned my car. No misfires were found and the O2 sensors looked fine.

The popping noise was happening before I did all this stuff, but the hard to start problem just started happening. I have no idea where to start. Any ideas?

Thanks

Is the popping coming from your exhast?
If it is, it's likely you have some back preasure issues.......not really a big deal, mine pops quite a bit when it's cold. After it warms up it's ok.

Thanks for reply.

Yes, the popping comes from my exhaust, and it happens all the time. Its not loud like a backfire, but it sounds kinda like I might be running rich or something. When I changed my spark plugs, they were perfect. So I was thinking, if I was running too rich, then they would have been black (or white)...can't remember.

That popping could be your opti going bad. Hate to say it, but I've seen it before. Give away when you said upon shifting----man can I vouch for that!----Check it out.
