Hard to start and bad idle

Last august i blew a head gasket, well i swaped them and all that good stuff, replaced the opti, figured maybe it could use it seeing there was 90k. Slowly ive noticed over the past months that the car is becoming harder to start when cold but if i start it and go somewhere to get gas or something then start it, it fires right up. When it becomes warmed up if im idling somewhere say a stoplight my rpms will go up and down from 5xx-700 and it feels like it wants to die and it will do it for a while then it will stop for a few seconds and do it again, unless i put it in park or nutral then it will slowly ilde back up to about 800 and stay consistent until i put it in drive and stoped then it does it again. Performance wise wot it screems theres no problems it will go through all the gears without any hesitations and no uptop stumble either. I was thinking to go to a shop and let them check the fuel pump and fpr and install what i needed as ive got school now and no free time.

You did retorque your Intake manifold after a few heat cycles or did you?

Also.. check the Coolant Temp Sensor... I was messing with mine and it was hard to start after I did alter its readings... but it crancked great when it was warm... maybe just buy a new one they are cheap... located on the water pump itself.. or check shoebox page .. he has the temp resistance chart... you will need an acurate temp meter to do this work.

Have you clean the IAC? I heard it gets sticky and makes the idle go up and down or worse... good luck
