guys with 3.23 want 3.73 look first

I broke my 3.73 gear and put in a 3.23 and picked up .14 in the 8th mile. My best 3.73 pass was a 8.32 @82.29mph last night I ran a 8.19 @83.59mph(12.771/4bolt ons)

Just a thought for those wanting to switch. and I like the 3.23's alot better for driving @70-80mph 1,900 rpm @70mph and the car pulled the same 60 ft as the 3.73's 1.79 on motor and 1.63 on juice

Dang Sean!! That just doesnt make any sense to me though. And where did the extra mph come from??? Heck, I still have the factory 2.73's out in my garage, let's swap them in and see if that thing will go 7.9x's!!! Congrats on the new NA best!

Joe.

I would go 3.73 on a stock engine. but juice or any power adders, the 3.23 have been good to me. I'm keeping my 3.23's

Was hoping someone would post this.

When I switched from 3.23's to 3.73's, I was about 1 tenth and 1 mph slower in the 1/8th, but i gained it back and then a little at the last half of the track and was about 1 tenth and 2 mph faster in the 1/4. Weird:blah:

Maybe my trans is slipping???? I'm hitting 2500rpm's at 75mph with the stock tires. Factory tach as well.

Having 3.73s is fun and all, N/A and cruising around and stuff. Put I personally am tired of them. When i get my N20 setup done, I'm definitely gonna step down to a 3.42 or 3.23 gear. My 3.73s are a pain in the @$$ for everyday driving, terrible gas mileage too.

haha I believe it, if you've done anythign to the car it's hard to get it to hook unless you use some type of slick, and if you drive on the highway 373 suck.. I forget the rpm though b/c it's my friends car that has them. Right now he has a mild 383 and a trans that'll shift hard with the 373's and he's running 13.70's.. NO traction at all, it'll get out and spin sideways almost.
I'ma get him to put the 3.42's in there to kill some torque and let the motor pull at the top end. It should run a low 13 or high 12 i would think, he just needs some money, anyone wanna make donations? hahaha

Well, what a bout a comparison from a 2800 or 3200 Vig stall with the 3.23's and with 3.73's? I'd like to hear more gains from going to back down to 3.23's...

I'm happy with my 3000 vig stall/3.73's combo
