is a gtech perfomance meter accutate?

i usually run high 14s low 15s and 98-102 mph at 5200 elevation on my gtech. My question is is this very accutate for the mods on my car? The closest track is 3 hours away and only open on certain days so i havent had a chance to got to one yet. one more question, i am ordering 4.10 gears and a k&n cai, how fast should my car run with these?

I think the gtech is accurate (that is if you are traveling on completly flat road and have it leveled perfectly, and the shifts are not so hard that it would throw it off, and blah blah blah). so in otherwords, i put no faith in them, seen 14 second cars go 13's at super high mile per hours on the gtech, and seen real fast cars go 12's with low mph on the gtech, the track is the only place that i think is "accurate"!

Yeah i second that i dont have one but it just seems that without clocking the car it couldnt be very accurate. Just my 2¢!

I believe the Gtech is pretty accurate.....my buddy has a mustang with some problems we ran it on gtec said he went 15.99 in 65* weather and at the track he went 16.25 and it was 90* at the track that night with 100% humidity....MPH was off by one i believe...I also used it on my camaro....it said i went 14.0-14.1 and on the street i am dead even with my buddys mustang that goes 13.9 on the track...so Yeah you could say im convinced
