Ok when I am only in 2nd gear is when this happens. At about 2500 or 3000 rpm the car will not really stumble but more like a hicup and then it's fine. This just started happening today. The car has 128k, my frind has a 89 camaro and he says it's either the plug wires or the coil b/c this exact thing happend to his car a couple months ago. What do yall think it could be? Thanks.

 

i would think about changing the fuel filter if it has been awhile

 

Nop, thats not it, I just changed it 3 months ago.

 

alot can happen in 3 months with gas filters

 

it is the cheapest easiest place to start if the engine is not throwing a code. $20 or less. Any minute now someone will scream the part that causes problems in every part of the car including flat tires and worthless girlfriends

Has the car ever really had a tune up? I would say with almost 130k on the car it needs a whole ignition system tune up. I would do new plugs, wires, opti, and coil.

 

My issue was a burned plug wire, and a bad egr. New plug wires/egr blockoff's later. Engine runs like a champ.
