hey i have the 8 x 5 five star SLP take off 16" wheels and would like another set of (cheap) wheels for some 10.5" wide slicks. what factory wheels can i use? will the 15" 3rd gen wheels hold a 10 or 10.5 inch slick? are there any other factory wheels i can use? i really dont want to pay for 17" SS wheels just to fit 275 Nittos on there, but the 16" wheels wont hold much more than 245s.

so basically im looking to fit some wider tire on my 95 z28 for cheap. any suggestions?

third gen 16" wheels are 16x8 too but have a different offset. For real slicks like et drags I think +- 1" is suggested.. so a 9-10 rim for a 10.5" slick.

for et streets you can put a 10.5 on a 8" rim.. this is from the mickey thompson website, you can probably get away with a little more.
