Going to true dauls, but what size exhaust?

With the mods in my sig, what size exhaust should I go with? I will eventually be going to a larger cam and ported heads. But that probably will have to wait till next year. Would 2.5in. be enough or should I go to the 3in.?

Thanks
Aaron

What kind of mufflers are you planning on running? Are you gonna run the exhaust out the back, or just dump it at the rear axle?

go 2 1/2 with an x-pipe. but if your gonna go through the trouble of doing true duals you might as well get long tubes. i believe the bbk's are shorties right?

BBKs are shorties but I plan on going with the Pacesetter LTs, into an X pipe, into Dynomax bullets and then dumped just before the rear axles.

2.5 should be fine, but I'm sure that your headder is going to have 3" collectors, so I would probably just stick to that.

No cats and the X pipe will be a pieced together one that is out of Summit. The header collectors are 3in. so I'll probably just do 3in. x pipe into 3in. pipes. Im just concerned about losing low end tq.

When I dynoed mine before and after headders and !cat, My torque just increased more in the mid range. Instead of a flat curve it was "humped" in the middle, but I didn't lose any torque. A tune has then fixed that and now it's flat again. I am running a y pipe though. Maybe this will help.

2 1/2" duals is plenty for that combination. BIGGER is not always better. A 3" dual could give you more HP, but will kill your torque. Torque is what makes a street car go.

My 2 cents
