To go or not to go....
To go or not to go....
I am wondering................
I have replaced my stock fuel pump w/ a Holley 255 and am also going to replace the fuel pressure regulator since it's stock and has over 110K miles on it.
I've heard if you go w/ a higher volume pump then it's possible the diaphram in the stock regulator will fatigue prematurely. I'm not going to be using N20 and will probably set the pressure to ~45psi (going to be using 30# injectors). I am wondering if it would be necessary to go with an adjustable FPR or would the stocker hold up just fine? I have a Holley AFPR that I bought and am mesmerized by it's billet finish yet since I'll only really need to adjust this once... is it necessary for a N/A heads/cam car?

Re: To go or not to go....
Most after market AFPRs use the stock diaphram. The aeromotive one and the TPIS one I know are complete units. I'm not sure about the others, but I installed a hypertech on a freinds and it reused the stock diaphram.
