GM1.6RR locks or poly locks??

i was wondering what the difference might be with the locks that come with the GM RR or poly locks and what the procedure might be for tightening each RR. the way i put mine on was zero lash, 3/4 turn and then tightened the center set screw to 18-19lb. i was just wondering for that if theres a better way because i get a faint tapping from under the valve covers, i also got the taller covers to see if that would eliminate it didnt. i also was thinking if maybe i might have some colapsed lifters if that was possible. anybody have any input?

3/4 turn sounds like alot to me, I go 1/4-1/2 turn, and the only way I've ever gotten my poly locks to stay tight was set zero lash, go 1/8 turn before final adjustment, then tighten the poly lock, then go the final 1/8 turn

The new GMPP lifters I bought call for 1 1/2 turns. ;) And everyone here seems to forget the LS1's run the same lifters as us with non-adjustable rockers and run .060 preload (1.5 turns) and have no problems at all making power.
