GM Hot cam kit install trouble

do the GM rockers need more valve cover clearance?
does the opti make any weird squeeking noises if it is going out ?

I have a chirping squeeking noise coming from the passenger side of the motor. It may be a rocker loose, would this cause the car to miss very badly?

thanks in advance.

If you have the GM LT$ kit you should look around the area of the adj nut.
Mune had to be clearanced right around that nut. I didn't know it until we put in new valve seals.

I've never heard a opti make a noise but I gues it's possible. If your valves are way off on adj or your opti is in wrong your car would run like crap

Yes, if the bearing fails. I thought I had a bad water pump bearing but when I got the pump off it was fine - turned out to be the opti bearing.

In your case, if it wasn't making the noise before the kit installation then it's more likely to be from some of the new parts or the installation.

Squeaking opti would not be from the passenger side.

No the valve covers are fine. The rocker its self has to be clearanced.
If you look around the nut see if it's hitting the rocker. Mine were digging into the rockers
