Giant Optima Yellow???

Anyone using the Giant Optima Group 31 Yellow top? It's not the standard deep-cycle yellowtop, it's a more powerful 900 cca battery. I'm experiencing some issues with my red top in the trunk and was wondering how much better this $200 yellow top is. Thanks, TJ

I also have the red top optima battery. I wouldn't use it unless its made for the car. I would get a new optima red top under warrenty if I were you, hell they got a 3 year warrenty on them hehe

I've got two red tops that I use and they're fine batteries. I just experienced a drop in overall voltage when the battery was moved to the trunk. I'm also running a lot of electrical stuff including the csi waterpump and I want to keep the voltage as high as possible. The standard yellowtop is the one they make for boats and it's quite a bit smaller than the group 31. The group 31 is top post only.

I wouldnt be looking at the battery, as that one should be fine.

Id be looking at what guage wire is being used to the battery, or your grounding.

I've already looked at those issues and I'm using 1 gauge cables. The battery I've got works, I just want as much power as possible to spin the water pump and fuel pump faster...
