Looking nice! I can't get my orientation right - where is the feed line coming out from the tank? Top or bottom?

Suction side out of sump on bottom of tank, return going back into top of tank via original factory pressure line steel end on pump housing(smaller of the two blue lines).Very first pic was taken from the passenger side of the car.

how does that pump like have a stock size return? im still debating on this pump with sump style like you have, or twin intank pumps...my return will be 3/8 or -6an, will that stock return fitting on the tank have any effect?

 

We used a #6 line to the original pressure line which is big enough.We got an adaptor fitting from steel tubing to #6AN.

 

yeah im an idiot, i just realized the stock pressure line is 3/8, just like my new return...haha

 

If ya don't ask,you may never know......
We crimped the others and sealed them with 2 part epoxy.

 

It looks really good David. If you find that the pump is noisy on the bracket you made we have some rubber mounts/standoffs that will quiet it down some. You would need about 3/4" of extra room. Thank you for sharing your pictures!

 

If we go up any, the pump will be way higher than the tank outlet and be dependant on the fuel level to work properly. The pump inlet is a tad higher than the tank outlet now and will probably take 1/4 tank of fuel or maybe a little less to be above the pump inlet.

Sorry to bring an old thread from the dead, but I was wondering who manufactures that blue fuel line. I was told that you have to use teflon liner because of no-lead additives. Sure looks to me like that line would work fine.

 

Looks like it says Aeroquip to my young virgin eyes.

Do you have any pics of the sump? Where did you get the sump. I'd like to do something like your setup.

 

Line is Aeroquip pushlock, sump is from Summit, shortened by Pops so it dont hang so low to help the muffler situation.

Take the sump to someone who KNOWS what they are doing...or you will have a mess on your hands.

I hope your A1000 series pump lasts longer than mine did. Let us know how noisy the pump is in a few months.

Oh yeah, they may fall back on this little tidbit of info. from their website.

For long term driving applications where continuous run times exceed 30 minutes and fuel capacity
is less then 10 gallons, Aeromotive recommends the installation of a pump voltage control
module, Aeromotive p/n 16302.

I can hear it now when they get my old one back.
