Fuel Pump Relay ?
Fuel Pump Relay ?
Ok guys I installed my walbro pump the other day and I cannot get ny car to start. I traced it down to not getting any power to the pump. The fuel pump relay has no power to it at all when the key is on. I thought the relay was bad but it isnt getting power before there. Any ideas?
Re: Fuel Pump Relay ?
It should not have constant power to pump. It will only prime for a few seconds. I have wiring diagrams for a 93, the 95 should be similar. You should have power on C1 on the relay when the key is on. This is fed from a 15 amp fuse for the ECM IGN Fuse. It is a pink wire. If you do not have power on one side of the contact on the relay, you either have a blown fuse or a open wire somewhere. If you do have power on the one side of relay, you need to find out why the relay is not energizing.

You can always try hooking up the jumper wire in the wiring harness on the pass side about 6" in front of the PCM in the split loom. If you jumper it to 12V, the FP will run. Good for troubleshooting.

No...on the fuel pump relay. You have a constant 12 volts with the key on, on one of the terminals on the fuel pump relay. Once the relay becomes energized this will feed 12 volts to the pump. I think the 12 volt feed to the fuel pump relay is pink.
Re: Fuel Pump Relay ?
That will give you 12 Volt to the relay, then you could try and start it to see if the relay is energizing. If you dont have 12 volt to the relay I would start looking for fuses blown. Do you know where the fuel pump relay is?
