Fuel Pump Problem?
 

OK, here it goes, my 95 z28 died the other day and wouldn't restart.

I've since established that I've got spark and that I can't hear the fuel pump turn on for those 3 seconds when turning the key.
I can hear some relays click on and off under the dash. I haven't tested the relay yet.

The SES light does come on too.

Here's my questions,

Which fuse is it for the fuel pump? located inside the car with the other fuses right?

How easy is it to change the pump when cutting inside the trunk area and making an access panel? Some people have used a dremel tool to cut it out....Isn't that a bit risky????!

Is it hard to reach and disconnect the fuel lines from that access panel?

Now, which way is best to cut the sheet metal out?

The best way to cut the panel is to very carefully drill a starter hole without drilling too deep and nicking wires. Then use a nibbler to make the rest of the hole.

BTW, it's a good possibility what you hear as far as relays is either the fuel pump relay or the theft deterrent relay. You should scan the codes to see what is going on.

The acess panel is not too hard. I used a dremel and was just very careful.
