Fuel in oil Question

Is it possible for fuel to get into the oil pan?

My oil seams to feel very thing and Im wondering if maybe fuel is passing the piston rigs and getting into the oil.

Or per haps the fuel injectors are too large?

Or maybe I have a miss from a plug or wire?

I had that happen because of a broken diaphragm on an on-block fuel pump on a van but we know for sure that isn't your problem. See if you can light the oil on the dipstick with a lighter if has enough gas in to burn, for sure don't drive it. I ruined the bearings in the van that way. injector problems are the most likely cause in your car. The extended oil interval guys test regularly for this with oil analysis.

Fuel can get into the oil in any car. If you look at a lot of oil analysis reports you'll see they have a spot for the fuel percentage, and in the cold winter it's not unusual to see about 1 to 2% fuel in the oil. It gets there if you do a lot of idling to warm it up, as the engine is running very rich on a cold start and your rings don't seal up as well until the engine has some warmth in it. I saw 1.0% fuel in my oil analysis report from the winter 2002/03, but this winter's report I got 0.0% because I plugged in my block heater every morning and parked in an underground garage at work, so my engine saw virtually no extreme cold starts.

I am going to see if I can have an oil sample from my car burned at work. We have a Oil monitering program for the Jet Engine oil we run in the aircraft. Hopefully I can slip my sample in the machine and it will tell me what all is in there.
