Freeze Plug question

Are there any other permanent ways to fix a leaky freeze plug other than replacing.

Re: Freeze Plug question

I don't think there are any permanant alternatives to replacing a leaky freeze plug but I am sure that many people will reply with options that have worked for them. I'm guessing that since you are trying to find another option it must be one that is difficult to get to. I know there are many "stop leaks" available but I personally wouldn't call any of them permanant. They might get you by for a while until you have the time or money to replace it. Just my $ .02

Re: Freeze Plug question

You can try high temp RTV, but since the freeze plugs "flexes", it may not hold. The best way to do it is replace the plug.
