Wire wraps or No??

Ok, I'm about to install my cam, headers, plugs, and wires. I got the Taylor 8mm Spiral Pro wires and am wondering if it is necessary to have the wire wraps for the wires. My buddy told me that I did, but I have also heard that these wires are insulated enough that I won't have to worry about burning.

I guess it depends on how well you route them, but I've had my Taylor wires on for nearly 2 years without any heat wrap and my wires have been fine.

I'm running those wires in the stock locations with SLP single cat shorty headers for a year now with no problems at all. The only wire I had to wrap was the #5 wire, on the SLP's that one is very close to the primary.

I just wire tied the wires away from the minifold because i had a problem with the factory looms twice. As long as the wire dont contact anything you shouldnt have a problem.

Thanks for the replys. I think im just going to go ahead and use them since I already bought them and don't feel like returning them. Plus they wouldn't hurt to have.
