Flushing heater core.. Do I need to change radiator fluid after or is it not affected

:I am going to pull the two heater hoses off the firewall and fluch them out in hope for my heater working better than it does and maybe get rid of the smell it sometimes give off at random.

Do I need to drain and refill the radiator fluid after or is it not really affected that much. I found this link telling me how to do it....but I am confused if it is going to wash out the radiator too or just the heater core?

If you unplug both lines, you don't need to change anything. Just flush it...reconnect the hoses and add coolant to radiator when done. Bleed the lines also.:D

What he said. :)

Also, if your smelling something off and on and it's coming from the heater core, it's probably a good idea to change that to before it totally brakes and you have a big spill on your rug.

I don't think the heater core is leaking, I am gonna warm up the car crank the heater up and see if it is leaking anywhere.

How am I going to bleed the lines, They are gonna spill when I put them back in. I can just bleed the radiator after, right?
