Flushing Heater Core??
How hard is it to flush the heater core system in our cars? I am hoping thats my problem with the lack of heat....I have the 160 degree thermostat so I thought that was why, but I am getting absolutely no heat at all ....I let my car run for like 20 minutes today to warm up and defrost the sheet of ice on my car, and in that time it still did not warm up an ounce...so I am hoping that the heater core has to be flushed.....any ideas how hard, or maybe a link on how to do it?
Thanks in advance |

I disagree with the idea that flushing the core will cause it to leak. The guy who wrote the article listed above is in the same club as me. He flushed it last fall and hasn't had any problems since.

Flushing is really easy, and i did mone thouroughly both directroins about 4 months ago, havent had any problems since. Its also a good time to flush all the coolant, thats what i did. That way everyhting is clean and new!
