In my opinion you would be better off with the Hooker catback.

i dont think the diffreneces in power would be noticeable (1-5hp?) but the hooker does out flow the flowmaster and has a nice sound to it. i think its cheaper too.

Nothing like a cheap hooker

I went from flowmaster to Hooker as well, and I'm much happier with the Hooker overall -- looks better, sounds damn good, and is cheap as hell...

I've had Hooker on my 94 for over a year now. I'm really happy with it. I get a lot of compliments on the sound too, even from my fellow f-body club members.

Definitely the way to go!

Here's a link to a video of my car on the dyno if you want to hear what it sounds like:

Of you are looking to go cheap, another option is to just get the high flow muffler and a cutout.
I doub't that there is much performance gains with the full cat back vs just the muffler. The cutout will allow you to run with an open exhaust when you want.

For the record I have the Flomaster Cat back and a McCord electric cutout. I am happy with the system, but if you can get the Hooker for less than the Flowmaster I would go with that

forget the cutout! get the hooker! the stock i-pipe is 2 7/8" and the hooker is 3". not a big difference unless you got a lot of air going through the motor.

Stock I-pipe from the factory is actually 2 3/4" for any 4th generation F-body.

Performance-wise, there won't be much difference on a stock or mildly modified car. But with more serious mods, the Hooker will definitely outflow the Flowmaster.

As for sound, like I always tell everybody now, try and hear them in person if possible to know which system sounds the best to you since we all like something different.
