Fitting size for oil passage in block

What size fitting fits the block, near the oil filter, for mechanical oil pressure guage?

I don't know for sure, but you can check the Autometer Oil Pressure guage description because it comes with adapters to fit. Maybe the description will give the size of the adapters. I would venture that a 3/8x16 would be a good place to start. If you don't want to do trial and error maybe someone will chime in or I'll see if I can find it.

1/4" NPT is what it is per Shbox.com

What is the hole for above the auxiliary hole. My oil pressure sensor is located where the bolt is in the above picture. Does this mean I can mechanically verify oil pressure on the intake?

Kurt Crosbie:
I think it's the legacy mounting hole for a stub shaft that mechanical clutch linkage pivoted on.

Yes, you can use the port behind the intake. I agree with what NJ-LE said, too. It is a blind mounting hole.

What's going to be easier to get to? The hole behind the intake, or should I remove the oil pressure sending unit to mechanically verify oil pressure?

IMO, the port above the oil filter is much easier to get to.

Thanks. I have to check if I have oil.pressure. All of a sudden it dropped to 0psi. Emptied the oil and there were at least 3qts in there. I've been lower before and had ample pressure. Took the oil pan bolt out and made sure the pickup didn't fall using a screwdriver to feel around. Guessing my next step is get a manual gauge, disconnect #1 and #2 spark plug wires and crank it to see if it builds pressure? Perhaps the oil sending unit wire is damaged? Did notice a bit of wire exposed when I changed the actual sending unit.
