Finally decided what I want to do with my car.
I am going to build a nitrous happy 355.
As it sits right now it is an 11 second car on the kit.
It's basically stock. All I have done is:
'98 LS1 28.8lb injectors
Walbro 255
AFPR
EWP
Home made smooth intake elbow
TB Bypass
Gutted cat
Cut-out
Yank 2800 stall t/c
SLP CAI
SLP Flowbooster (airfoil)
Motive 3.73's (spedo corrected with a hypertech power programmer)
T/A Girdle
Built Tranny
Nitrous Express Wet Kit
Stock tunning
N/A my best run is a 13.216 @ 103.97 on a 1.885 60'. With my stock gears (3.23's) my best run on the kit was a 12.119 @ 115.42 on a 1.812 60'. I have only made one pass on the kit with my 3.73's, and unfortunately that pass killed my 3rd built tranny, but I managed a 12.369 @ 108.97 on a 1.762 60'. That run was dead after the 60' mark. Comparing that run to my 12.119 run, everything past the 60' is slower. But I now have another built tranny.
Basically I want the car deep in the 12's N/A, atleast, and I want the car to completely change when it is on the kit. I want it to be able to eat it up. I want to be able to run a 250 shot all day with no problems, atleast where the motor is conserned the tranny is another story.
If you all could help me come up with a parts list for the build up, I would appreciate it. Everyone can give their oppinion on what parts to use for whatever, I will then do a little research on what everyone has suggested and put together the best combination I can.
TIA
Eddie

Nitrous is my drug.
It took me forever to decide what I wanted for my car. I originally purchased a Vortech S-trim, and then decided that I didn't want to go with supercharging because I was concerned about reliability. Luckily, I found someone that was willing to buy the kit from me for about $100 less than what I paid for it.
After that, I had 3.73 gears, and hated them, so then downgraded to 3.42s. I also had a 2800 stall and didn't like that either, so I downgraded to a 2400 to make it more streetable. I spent a lot of money I didn't need to because I didn't know what I wanted.
Anyways, in the end, I decided to go for a happy medium between performance and streetability, and decided on the LT4 Hot Cam setup.
The next time around, I'll make absolutely sure I know what I want BEFORE I start buying parts. That'll save me a ton of money.
