A few ?'s while I'm doing the LT-1 to LT-4 conversion package.
 

Well I've got everything off my 95Z28 M6 and waiting for the LT-4 conversion package to come in tomorrow.....here are the questions.......

1. Anyone know a approx. cost on reprograming the computer for this modification?

2. While pulling the injectors I broke some of the little plastic spacers that are above the O rings...can I buy a kit to replace these and where...?

3. While my buddy was helping me he broke the opti-wiring plug..I sure hope I can buy this too....and I did give him a spack for being careless......lol

4. Will the stock push rods be ok to keep with this package..I've been told that they are already rated for 400-425 HP....

5. Going to replace the timing chain too.....I was told that another stock chain would work just fine....maybe or maybe not?

1. I use www.pcmforless.com. I bought unlimited programming for $75 and he emails the new programs. I also spent $35 for a non-molded cable to download the programs. So, total investment...$135 with as many changes as I need.

2. Don't know...sorry.

3. see above :D

4. Stock pushrods are fine as they are harfened. I would just check them for straightness on a piece of glass.

5. Stock chain and gears have been fine for me and a whole bunch cheaper. If you are just planning the LT4 conversion with no further mods (N2O, supercharger, etc) then you're fine.

If i was you i would not skimp on the timing chain. I got my LT4 ED for 200 from gm parts direct and i believe jason cromer sells them for about 180 well worth it in my opinion not to snap a stocker and ruin your new LT4 heads. Also when your old crappy stocker starts stretching which it will very quickly you will lose the accuracy of your timing.

i believe combo motorsports has a stronger than stock timing chain for like $99.
