A few concerns with Cam install.. Debree in oil, Semi-broken oilpan gasket..
Well I was installing my cam today (didnt get the heads back yet) and everything seemed to be going ok, i went to put the timing cover back on and i ripped the corner of the oil pan gasket up under the oilpan not on the timing seal in the top right corner.. I sprayed it with brake cleaner and dried it off.. The I put a little ok i lied ALOT of black RTV on it and im just wondering if it will be ok? Also im kinda paranoid about me putting so much ]rtv on that some may have gotten in the oil pan, will that hurt anything?? I installed the lifters and i felt the oil in the lifter valley and there was some debree in there.. Like not metal, just like old sealer from bolts, gasket material,etc... I poured a **** load of oil in the lifter valley and tried to clean the smaller stuff out and i removed the bigger stuff by hand.. Will that stuff hurt anything??? I bought like 8 quarts of regular motor oil to pour all over the lifter valley when everything was together and then I was going to let it drain out of the drain plug and the close it and fill it with the oil its supposed to have.. Is that ok?
Problem: STUPID POS! SON OF A !!! That darn water pump seal.. I have broken 2, how the heck do you get it on? the timing cover is on already and no water pump seal..

the water pump seal "that seals to the block" is really easy to put on. Just slap a little RTV (LITTLE) on the water pump. Then a LITTLE on the block and slowly maneuver into place. There should be guides on your water pump that line it up and help you hold it in place. As far as the Black RTV that you used on the oil pan gasket... Well, you will probably be replacing that gasket soon
And... since you already did the oil thing, just do as you were going to originally do. But you probably shouldn't have let the debri wash down the lifter openings... But what can you do.

You don't need any RTV on the waterpump gaskets. You will need some thread sealer on one of the bolts (the bottom most driver's side bolt).
As for your debris question, I am in the same situation. Just finished a cam install on Sat. To do it right you need to do an oil pan gasket after the timing cover gasket, and have a bit of RTV in the lip of the oil pan gakset that seals onto the timing cover.
Lifting the motor isn't challenging. Do it right the first time.
As for your debris question, as a chunk of RTV, may get sucked into the oil pump and clog it. I've heard of this and, most times it just works its way through and is out. If the RTV is small enough to get through the screen, it will be destroyed without hurting anything.
If you have any other debris, like what came off my intake, this could be trouble. Small crud etc... can be an issue. I vacuumed (shop vac with home made attachment) the lifter valley and head out real well and am confident in it.
Get out what you can with your finger, and do an oil change within 30 minutes. (or sooner if you used "assembly" lube).

How do you raise the motor?? I would change it but i dont know how to raise it up. And i dont feel like taking those darn engine mount bolts out.. do i have to take them out?

Support the back of the tranny with a piece of wood, and raise it to take pressure off the motor mounts. Then remove the bolts.
Its that easy. Some people want to raise by the balancer, some by the oil pan etc.... Do a search and see what you think.

Man, you must have some self control.
