Question Fan Switch ????

I've heard talk about slp's and other brands fan switches.
How much cooler will it make the car run?
Do you have to hook it up to a toggle and manually run them?
Do you have to have any computer mods?

Everywhere I've looked to get info all it says is that it makes your car run cooler. they dont specify how it works
This weekend I am installing a CSI pump plus I already have a 160 Thermostat but I still don't think that will get me running as cool as I want it. Or will it?

No computer mods needed, don't know exactly how much it will cool the car though (haven't hooked mine up yet). Don't waste the 60-70 bucks on it though, just make one. I think buying parts for mine was less than $10. Here's a walkthrough http://users.oco.net/xero/fanmod/
The fans will run according to the stock operation when off, and by your choice (high or low) at the flip of the switch.
Exactly how cool do you want the car to run? Running too cool is just as bad as running too hot. Mainly the fan switch is just good to cool the car down before a race, or when sitting in traffic for long periods.

I agree, I just hooked up a fused switch to a good 12V source and spliced it into the high speed wire up by the fans, that way you can turn them on when the car is off as well. Cost about $5 and does the same thing.

You will notice the temp go down if you turn them on if they werent on before, its not going to cool it anymore than stock when the fans are on if thats what you are looking for.
