Failed emissions,180 T-stat help?

Hey guys I failed emision here in CT. for HC. the limit is 53 and I had a 59. The NOx was 272 out of 614 and the CO was .05 out of .28. So I passed 2 out of 3. I also have my egr deleted. Do you think that if I install my stock thermostat (180) and hook up my egr that it will be good enough. I have a 160 t-stat in there now and the coolant temp stays around 170-175. The wideband stayed at a steady 14-15 A/F the whole time during the test. I run a random tech. hi flow cat. Is there any thing I can add to the gas to help with this also. What about 100 octane? Will that make a difference. Any info will be greatly welcomed. Thanks....John

Having it run warmer should help. Also, hooking up the egr should help. Do those and try again.
