Just so you know, you don't have to set the camera 8 inches from the exhaust tips to hear it. When you have the camera that close the sound is WAY too loud for the camera's sensitive mic and it completely bottoms out the recording, making all exhaust setups sound basically the same. If you had set it ~10 feet away it would have sounded a lot better and more like it really does in person.

I angled the camera and its about 3 feet away. I know exactly what your talking about.
