EX Components Timing Chain

I see that everyone uses the Cloyes, is there anything wrong with the EX set. I do notice its cheaper but sometimes that doesnt make a diff. Im getting an EX for a real good price. So if anyone is running the EX let me know some feedback. THanks
Peace

just remember you need an electric water pump to make any double roller chain fit.

Yeah i know. I was planning on getting an electric water pump. Thats why i picked up the EX from 95_Ripper. Im planning on goin with the CSI. Its smaller and will probably make for a bit easier install. Oh and its cheaper.
Peace

Just to be warned Omar, I have the CSI and it requires grinding out some holes in the waterpump. It doesnt just slip in like the Meziere.

Nothing that cant be done with a dremel and some basic bits. But yes, you are correct

You have to drill holes?? Why dont they say this in the description of the product? Well thanks for letting me know. If its not all that hard ill still pick up the CSI. It just seemed like an easier install since its smaller. Is the CSI the only electric pump you used, or have you used the meizure? Whats you opinions on it?
Peace

I have only used the CSI. The holes are not that hard to do wiht a dremel but were definitely a pain in my ***. The meziere i hear that you have to modify your fans. From the looks of it though on mine, I think you can just push the fans up a little and out of the way but Im not sure. For the $60 savings, I bought the CSI. Just make sure you make the holes big enough and don't pull the pump onto the housing. I did that and mine is stuck. It isn't coming back out. lol. It works fine but if it dies, I need a new housing too.

I noticed you said that with a double roller you have to use a electric water pump, I have one and am planning on running a double roller, just curious on why you have to use a electric pump, and are there any problems with running a double roller under the stock timming cover?
