I know people that have had good luck with the CSI/CSR pump.

I have the meizere... from what I read don't get the meizere HD... it flows too much, and the coolant isn't in the engine long enough to soak up heat

I have the CSI and it does a fine job of cooling. I hear they have great customer service and will rebuild the pump for $60 if it goes out.

That's what I run and it keeps the motor cool just fine, don't have many mile on it though and I'm already getting tired of watching the temp gauge just in case it takes a dump. With that said though, I wouldn't go back to factory. I like the small HP gain.

I hear good things said about both the Meizere and CSR.

I have a Mezz WP. So far OK. I really did not like the mechanical drive. Took it out.

I doubt that say on the matter, with both theory and my own practical experience to back it. I have a Meziere pump, and coolant temp never rises above what it was with the OEM pump.

Ion is a good guy and I have used some of his services and sent a number of people his way too and will continue to do so.

That said, if he really claimed too much flow hurts cooling then obviously thermodynamics is not among the courses he is taking.

The stock pump flows more at higher rpms than the electrics do and I don't see guys with stock pumps complaining of overheating.

Couldn't have said it better myself, and theres a reason us road race guys keep the mechanical waterpumps, the electric ones don't flow enough.

so we are switching the agrument from whether or not the heavy duty meziere water pump is worth the extra money over the regular meziere water pump to whether or not an electric one should be used over a gear driven one

this thread just became pointless
