Everything needed for tuneup..including tools???

The car has been sitting for about a year and a half. Only driven about 3-5 times. Not to mention the mileage is getting high. It still runs strong but I can tell it is in dire need of a tuneup. What all is needed? Plugs, wires, fuel filter, etc. I have the K&N FIPK so no filter(has already been cleaned). What kind of plugs should I go with, wires also? I assume the fuel filter can just be an auto parts over the counter one. I know the plugs are supposed to be a pain in the **** so what kind of tools should I prepare myself with to make this as easy and painless as possible? Thanks for all your help.

Jason

Edit:
Forgot to mention, it is finally being turned back into a daily driver within a few weeks. So she needs to be runnin' good.

you pretty much covered what is needed for the tuneup.Fuel filter is available at almost every parts house.

Plugs,AC Delco,Autolite,NGK,Bosch are all good,pick your poison.
Wires,Taylor 8mm are good for stock applications.

As far as tools, sockets, wrenches,a few extensions, spark plug socket, and a universal and even a "wobble" extension will help.

Also dont forget the cold refreshing beverages and patience.
