estimated rwhp?

with my mods in sig, and $1000 T/d shaft mounted rockers, afr 227's fully ported and polished from lloyd with le3 cam, monoblade, ported lt4 intake manifold, madz28 tune, 3.73/4.10 and an aluminum driveshaft

also maybe a 3500-4000rpm torque convertor if i keep my a4, but how much more rwhp will i get from a 12 bolt and a g force manual tranny for around $5800

Are you gonna run that on your stock short block? I maybe wrong but i think those heads are gonna have way to big of runners for a stock short block.

I hope you have'nt purchased those shaft mounts yet. Save your money! You can't get enough spring pressure or RPM out of a hyd. roller to warant it. A set of comp pro mags is still WAY overkill for any hyd. and is about $600 less to boot.

Re: estimated rwhp?

idk i was thinking of gettin afr 227 heads, and the shaft mount rockers, then get the heads ported and polished along with an lt4 intake manifold probably from lloyd and get the le3 cam... yes this is on my lt1 short block engine, and i wanted to get a g force race prep tranny for $5800 next year along with it and a 12 bolt, with a ptk turbo system and see if i can make the fastest lt1/lt4 manual tranny record...? can anyone help me out if this will all not work together?
thanks

like there, or do you guys know any better one maybe even a 355? i need this to be for a turbo the next year, but with these pistons, wont it work slower without a turbo?

IMO...if anyone sells you those heads to use with a stock displacement engine and a stock PCM...I would doubt their honesty.

That is a big head and unless you are willing to spin that motor to 8K rpm, why bother? Not to mention that stock PCM limitation..eh?

I run a set of pretty healthy heads..but I threw a large stroke to it and got a cam that should make a boat of of mid range...and still I am selling my combo short because I will be shifting @ 7K'ish rpm.

Do not fall in the trap of buying crap because you simply see it posted by someone running times you would like...there is more to it than that.

Re: estimated rwhp?

should i get a larger stroker? like up to 396? because i wanted a ptk turbo and the smaller the dispalacement the better and more hp? and i personally dont mind revving to 8k rpm, on the heads if im gonna pay alot for the whole setup, then i might as well pay for the best and biggest, and i heard afr was a good company, and that the 227's were the biggest so i thought it would be worth a try? how about a forged 396 with the ported afr 227s and le3 cam? or do you guys reccomend any better heads? and/or reccomend going up to 396 instead of 350?
thanks

Re: estimated rwhp?

Your wasting your money with a setup like that because an LE3 cam will not make use of a set of heads like that.

Then you have to address the issue of an aftermarket EFI system to spin the motor high...which can mean distributor...crank fire...large amounts of tuning...to mention a few issues.

There is nothing wrong with AFR..but out of the box they leave a lot of room for improvement.

Your best bet is to decide on a goal of the performance you want...then consider everything else that it takes to attain and continue to have that performance...drivetrain...suspension...you can have $15K wrapped up really easy before you know it.

ok by feb i want to spend up to 5k in the engine alone, what would be best to do to maybe hit the 600-700flywheel hp mark at least?
thanks

5k isn't gonna do it reliably.
