Engine/Tranny Heat

Hey guys when im going down the road, any speed usually after about 10 minutes of driving, I get a strong feeling of heat on my right calf. The heat is at mid calf when my foot is on the gas pedal, right where the carpet ends and the plastic center console begins. I know the tranny is there, and was wondering if this was a big deal, it didnt used to do it. It happens in all weather, anywhere from 25 degrees to 100. Car is 95 Z28, CAI only non stock anything

Well, it certainly shouldn't be getting that hot. Could be a sign of an impending trans failure. I would start by draining the trans and looking at the fluid. If its all brown and burnt then it's probably not long for this world. But, it won't hurt to stick a new filter on and fill it with clean fluid. Make sure you get a can of trans cooler flush and flush out the cooler before you fill it back up. Could be a clogged cooler making it get hot. The stock cooler is marginal at best. An additional trans cooler is good cheap insurance.
