Probably a header gasket leak. Retighten the bolts.

I don't that sounds like a header leak and possibly something in the valvetrain too.when I had a leak it had puffing/tutting sound that yours is making, but not that loud ticking sound I could be wrong though.

Check that all your plugs are in all the way and not cross threaded.

I second that. My buddy had a crossthreaded spark plug in his 95 TA and it made almost the exact same sound.

Well it would help if you changed the rpm so we could hear the difference in what the sound makes, does the sound quiet down when the engine heats up? have you pulled the valve cover to verify if you have a loose rocker?
Theres a lot of things that it could be.,

Hell my old lt1 sounded exactly like that, problem was i lost a spark plug end threw one of my valves finger sized hole in a valve.

If it weren't so loud i would guess loose spark plug, exhaust manifold leaking or maybe air pump check valve. I removed my check valve and ran the car and it sounded just like your video. The problem is, you have nothing off. I would say its under the valve cover so start there. Do you have good oil pressure?

i have no egr or air so thats out. ive checked the bolta and the gasket looks good. i wen tand got a percy dead soft aluminum gasket so hopefully that will solve the problem. ill go over all the sparkl plug 1 more time but im 95% positive thats not the problem. ill take another vid in the morning of diff rpms. it does seem to quiet when the motor heats up. i'll check back tomorrow.

thanks for the help

I had a prob like that and after changing the gasket the noise was still there - the ticking was actually an exhaust leak coming from the header between the tube and flange somehow - it was a leak just inside the header bolt hole. I welded up the header tube inside a little bit and that fixed it. It was hard to find exactly where it was coming from, but it was a leak of the actual header and not the gasket.
