Engine Fans
Ummm i think my engine fans are not working, how do you test them?
can u do it from under the firebird or u have to take some of the stuff on top of the radiator out? |
What is it actually doing? What year is it?
|
its a 94 firebird forumla, and the temperature is real high when it runs... its being air cooled right now... so it heats when im idling at a light for 2 long.
the fans do not sound like they are on, but my friend said the thermostate could be sticking so... we will check those 2 in a few days... but if anyone knows what might be the problem or if its a quick fix, let me know |
you could get it scanned and test the fans.
also, ive always found it hard to hear my fans while im driving. Try letting the car run in the driveway with the hood up and just listen for them to come.. |
im pretty sure they dont come on... thats what i was doing...

if ive been driving for a while it will be over by the 3rd notch... aprox 235 degrees... those temperatures worry me... :(
the fans for the car work fine, like if i turn on the AC or whatever it will blow cold air on me... |
