For electronics guys --->

Have a (simple) question:
Trying to install a bright LED for an indicator.

+12V DC ------------|>LED|----------^^R^^--------||| Ground

What would be the value (in ohms) for resistor R?

Start out with 1kOhms. You can vary it's value to change the brightness. It's basically a current limiter.
