Angry electrical NIGHTMARE

ok heres the deal. I bought this camaro a couple of weeks ago and it needed some work. i got it running fine except for a leak between the headers and the Y-pipe. i the flanges on the headers and made a new Y pipe. i put on the headers and the y pipe fine, but disconnected the starter during the process to get it out of the way. After i put everything back together again, my car wouldnt even turn over. actually, nothing works- the fan, the turn signals or anything when i turn the key to the on position.

i checked the fusible links coming off the starter and all the fuses: they all had current; the battery is fine; all wire connections are secure; the ignition switch is fine; and i cant find any other fusable links that would be associated with my problem.

does anybody have any suggestions on where to go next?

thanks

thanks a lot

ok i think i have it figured out.

the previous owner blew 1 of 3 fusable links and decided to save a few bucks and run a wire without one in its place. (dumba**)

so, when the wire came unhooked from the starter and grounded out, it shorted out somewhere in the wire, so i am going to trace that one and run a new wire and hopefully my problems will be over.

but i appreciate all you guys' help in the matter !

The first question would be "why were you taking wires off the starter without disconnecting the battery first?". No way anyone could have predicted what the previous owner did.

i didn't dissconnect the wires from my starter... one that wasn't crimped into the circle connector correctly came out and grounded out. and i didn't ask for predictions... i asked for suggestions.
