Does anyone here have an electric cut out that fits on mac hearders and the mac offroad pipe? Where did u get it from, or are all of the cutouts the same?
Peace

you need to but a cutout and have it installed. then you put the electric cutout where the "cutout cap" goes. what size is the piping on your mac ORP?

Its a 3inch. Would i have to cut my offroad pipe? I dont know if i wanna do that. How bad do the electric cut outs leak. I know a buddy of mine who had a regular cutout and his butterfly nuts would always loosen up.
hehe i said butterfly nuts.

when you get a cutout you're supposed to leave the cap off...ALL THE TIME...

of course you may run into minute leak problems with an electric cutout, but you cant beat flicking a switch and scaring the hell out of the punk kids down the street...

btw...QTP is the way to go for electric cutouts...

Well i will probably leave it off all the time, but just for the incase purposes. This QTP one seems pretty bada**. I was just tellin my friend exactly what u said. Some riceboy pulls up hears my normal exhaust then flip the switch and i melt all the gel in his hair.lol
Is the dual QTP setup for dual exhausts or does it hook up before the y-pipe. Would seem kinda cramped with that set up. Im about to email them and see wat they say. I drove with my y-pipe off and i though my whole car was gonna just fall apart. Oh and thanks for the site.
Peace

Depends on where your cutout is...all the QTP valve does is fit on to the end of your cutout where you normally cap it...so wherever your cutout is your valve is...

I was confused about this at first as well...

The dual CTP is most likely for those with long tubes and they have cutouts installed right after the collectors so they can run open headers...

Yeah that cutout is no joke. I would love to have it, but its way outta my budget for right now. The ypipe alone is 599 with two electric cutouts. Thats not counting the 500 or so dollars u gotta spend to get long tubes. If u got the cash, i think its worth it. Probably alot better then getting a true dual setup and alot easier.

I bought 2 qtp cutouts from a friend that didnt end up using them for $100 bought some 3" header flanges at a local shop, and hand my brother weld them in for me. I love it, yesterday I was driving with them open, I made a left, notice a cop followed me, so I shut them and made another left. I wish I had a picture of his face as he drove by. I guess he thought I turned my car off or something, but I drove away

ok im gonna shout this one out so i can save someone else the anger i and many others have gone thru...

DO NOT BUY A MCCORD POWEPLATE They are JUNK and WILL FAIL on you. Probably within the first 2 months and when they do DO NOT expect Keith McCord to help you out cause HE DOES NOT stand behind the pile of crap that he sells

its been like 3 months for me and mine crapped out on me the motor like JUST DIED

i sent keith an email about it asking if there was anything he could do and he's like acting all shady about it turns out his great customer service in the begining isn't so great once he sell's you his POS product!! I mean I didn't care if I had to pay to get it fixed, but this guy just DOES NOT want to stand behine his product

i wish like hell i would have gotten the QTEC cutout so i could still be rollin with an electric cutout!

just a heads up

I also had problems with my qtp..it does't seal very good you need to use rtv as there isn't much room for real gasket to cutout since the guy doesn't clearance the bolts. Also my qtp leaks when closed..causing very annoying rattling.I took a quick look at fixing it but so far its on my workbench.I live up in Canada so not really that easy to ship it back and usually lose brokerage and shipping returning stuff.I will be trying the dmh and hope it works good.

Well i just called QTP and they have a sale goin on. 315 for two cut outs and two electric motors. What does everyone think of a two cut out setup. I got the mac headers and ypipe. They guy at QTP said it should fit nicely. It looks like a pretty good product. Hey 95silver where is the link for the guy u bought it from. Does he just sell the electrics or the whole package? Well if anyone has a two cutout setup on shorty headers give me some feedback. I really dont want rattling noises, even though it wont be my daily driver.
Peace

Unless he has redesigned then you will get rattling when closed and think even when open. And you will not like the way you can't get actual gasket between the qtp and the cutout since he didn't put on bolt reliefs.I tried grinding down on my cutout to use a gasktet but wound up damaging the studs on the cutout. The cutout he sent had non removable studs which are too darn short for the qtp cutout. The rattling seems to be due to slp in the design where the motor and plate goes.I got mine mabye six months or so ago.So unless he has redesigned his cutout controller I woudn't buy one or two qtps. But hey its your money.
