Angry electric car seat doesn't wanna go backwards

i was trying my friend's car today. it's a bone stock 94 z28. when i was playing around with his seat, suddenly the seat went forward by itself, when i tried to push it backwards, it went forward again. now, the seat just dead, it's stuck all the way to the front, and my friend is a tall guy. he got pissed at me. any idea on how to fix this?? please let me know

i dont want my friend to get pissed at me

thanks for all the input and suggestions

Sounds like a switch problem.

The switch is right there on the LH side of the seat. Wiring comes up out of the floor in the carpet. If you were not manipulating the switch at the time it started going nuts, maybe you pinched a wire or something when you were playing around.
