EGR "valve" removal best tool and what to do with the vacuum hose
I have already removed and blocked the EGR tube on the intake and headers. All is left is the EGR soleniod. I attempted to remove it to day and could only get the passenger side off -- need more than a wrench . Will a ratchet fit on the drivers side bolt? I've got access to a nice air ratchet.
Once the valve is removed I unplug the electrical connection. Now what do I do with the vacuum hose? Is removing the EGR soleniod required? Could I just unplug and cap the vacuum hose?? Right now I have the famous stumble-surge under light throttle. And I think its the EGR valve. Thanks for the help |
I removed the hose from the side of the intake manifold & removed the barbed fitting in the side of the manifold & plugged the manifold...

So I just plug the hose on the drivers side intake?
