My EGR has just recently started acting up, throwing codes at me usually when I'm on the highway. I took the valve off but the whole thing seemed fine, but I cleaned it up anyway.

Anyway, I was thinking of just ditching the whole system, but the only problem is that I have to pass CO emissions (similiar to California). SO, does anyone know if I can still pass a sniffer without EGR? Thanks

You could pass if your car is running up to par. Its kind of hard to be sure. If your going to block off the system I sell block off plates on EBay. If you interested email me and I'll knock some money off if don't buy them off ebay.

 

If you block of EGR and you don't have the computer programmed for it, will the car run wrong?
