Edlebrock T.E.S. Headers?

Does anyone have a set of Edlebrock T.E.S. Headers? Im looking for a set that has all the emmission tubes and everything there. They are also ceramic coated and appear to come with the y-pipe for $440+ shipping. Sounds awesome to me, but im curious to see if anyone else has em and how good they are? I dont wanna dump a lot more money in the car,but i like everyone else here,am addicted.

Edelbrocks are an OK header but I like MACs way better, although 440 coated isnt bad... Oh and the addiction, I am sorry to say that the only cure is death, even if you wreck your car, you go right out and get another one. Before I drove my Z I "wasnt going to mod it up" but now I am allocating 1 grand for Longtube headers etc.:cry

I wish my edelbrock headers were coated. That is the only thing I dont like about them. Other then that, they make good power, plug access is not bad, and I havent had a single issue with them. I'd say go for it

The Edelbrock's are certainly an improvement over stock manifolds, but for the $$, there are some better choices out there. The Edelbrock's are the only one's I've seen that mix both 1 5/8" primaries with even smaller 1 1/2". On top of that, they use the stock y if I remember correctly.

On the flip side, they're of good quality as far as construction, fit, etc.

IMO, if you don't plan on going beyond a few bolt on items, I don't think they'd be a horrible choice. If you do go to a cam, etc - don't buy headers twice. Get something a little more substantial to begin with.

hey camaroguy im selling a set of edelbrocks that will fit you car, they car not coated but have a nice black paint on them with heat tape. i never had a problem with heat as far as buring wires or anything. im selling them with the whole exhaust system . headers with y, 3" cat with a pipe through it so it doesnt have that hollow sound with the adj. borla cat back. this system sounds great. comes with all emissions fittings and plates for the borla. $ 600 B/O. used but in good shape.

I dont really agree with Umbrae about plug acces. I had to use a cut socket to remove the 2 middle plugs on each side.

If you DO end up going with these headers, make SURE they will be coated, cus they will rust up and not look good. I'd go with MAC's if you had the choice.

I bought mine used with a y-pipe and tb foil thrown in for $200. Id save a couple hundred more and buy long tubes if your going to pay for new headers.

Thanks for all the replys, but my concern was having all the emmission tubes and everthing on the headers. If theres any other better choice out there like that please let me know. I had a bad experience with my IROC with emmissions if you know what i mean, and im not ready to do that again. Atleast till i have a garage then everyone look out!

I bought some Edelbrock shorties last summer and had them Jet Hot coated. They look good and seems to be a pretty good gain over the stock manifolds. You will be able to feel a difference in the higher RPM range for sure. I bought mine because of the same reason, I needed them with emissions fittings. Also, if I were you I would buy some different gaskets because mine leak a little and I need to change them. I bought some Percey's dead soft aluminum one's that I now need to put on. Other than that, I am pleased.

If all you're concerned about are the fittings, than you should be fine with just about any header with the exception of Hooker LT's.
