Easiest way to remove front bumper for paint work.

I am going to paint the front bumper of my car, but Im not doing it on the car, I am taking it off and then painting it.

My question is, what is the easiest way to remove it.

Any tips or tricks?

Thanks,
James

The gloss finish is coming off on my Z28's front nose, and the paint from the bumper is flaking and cracking. But the reason mine's paint is coming off is from the Bra that was on it when I bought it. I think that was caused by the Bra...

Were these worthless replies or what?

I'm doing my Z also and would like to know if there are any instructions, pages, something to ease the job. Looks like an easy bolt on and off, but my luck being the worst in the history of bad luck, something would be hidden and you gotta tear off something in your front end just to get the skin off.

pls let us both know, and maybe if it stops raining in Ohio, I can do my Ls1 front brakes, put my fender on and do my front end.

later hosen

best tip is get a 1/4" drive air ratchet and take out all the 10MM bolts on the lower covers and the 8mm on the part that always scrapes the ground then take the 4 10mm bolts that hold it to the fenders (2 on each side) then the 2 7mm bolts by the headlights (1 on each side) Then there a the push tabs on the top of the cover when you pop the hood you will see them if you dont have the trim tool to take them off you can use sidecutters and pull the center up dont cut them off pull them up. and there are 3 in the center on the bottom. then you can pull them off.
