Texas air has nitrous in it. That explains most of it.

What he said.

snakeatinZ 03-28-2004 06:07 PM

ditto!! I should have bought a hypertech instead of heads and a cam!:p

Compstall 03-28-2004 06:38 PM

Here's a few dyno runs; the green line is with Hypertech "tuning", the other two are without.

No, I'm saying all the cars that seem to be going faster then they should are in Texas :p

Compstall 03-28-2004 06:43 PM

400+ hp cars grow on trees in Texas, don't you know that? :)

TA Dreaming 03-28-2004 08:24 PM

with only a K&N filter on my car i put down 272hp and 309ftlbs. thats SAE on a dyno jet.

That does seem a little high. Your "stock" numbers look to be right on par w/ where they should have been.. But for your mods - yup.. Those are some pretty high dyno numbers. For most LT1's, it takes full exhaust and all the other bolt ons to get 305rwhp out of it.. 'Course, they also put out around 340rwtq w/ that much rwhp.

Get that sucker to the track ;)

Heh, that's because everything is bigger and badder in Texas, even the cars. ;)
And 400 hp cars are in abundance in Houston so I hear.
