Tiger - sorry, my post wasn't directed at you, it was for Chris. He has a similar thread right now and thought he would get more power. He said his was a lifter failure as well, so I guess its understandable, except he bought Comp Rs which I think is a bit overkill for his cam. Also, why did you go with such a small cam? Plus, I know you got a killer deal on the heads? Not sure what the deal was, but I would figure between 4 - 500. If its cheaper than that, I'd be suspect of the heads. If that's the case, I would have passed them over for a set of headers and a cam. You could have ended up with a LOT more horsepower. But that's just me.

Ion - I know what you are saying about flow being flow. I could be wrong on the theory of it, but I SWEAR I've seen comparisons of cars making LESS power with certain mods because they didnt have the supporting or needed mods. I'll have to research it a bit more. I know what you are saying on the clogged cat issue! My car couldn't get out of its own way when the cat clogged, I lost to a 240sx that was running 16s! I meant to that you for the tune! Car has been running great! NO cam surge as low as 1200 in 6th, which is fantastic to me. I think the car performs too. I can get some more out of it once I put a new rear in it. I slicked it up recently and broke the rearend. My friend is gonna put a used set of 3.42s in it if its just the R&P, and I've got a spare diff if thats the case. 8.8 here I come though!

Well, the verdict is in...

302/304 with the setup in the sig
SAE Corrected... running pretty lean to up top. 14.0 at 5400 RPM.

The only revved to about 5450 rpms... and I pleased with these numbers...

Doesn't give peak torque/hp numbers though? Will have dyno chart up tonight I think?

Re: Dyno Guesses for Saturday/Prep Questions

my best friend is who I got the cam and heads from as he had to put a new motor in my car and he hooked me up, I paid $150 for the heads, well known local ship did the work, and the mild cam...thats a steal and nobody should doubt it. Its the manifolds holding me back, and being rich as well, I have the new tune and will dyno once I have longtubes for an update.
