DTC22 TPS sensor failure and fix

I want to start doing these kind of had-a-problem-and-fixed it post so people can more readily find the answers and fix to problems that they might have. i have including a bunch of key words at the bottom as well to aid in the search. my goal it to reduce the amount of redundant post that clutter this forum. i dont expect any replys unless you think this is a bad idea or have any sugjustions.

I recently took a friend for a ride in my car while it was pouring rain out side. When i gave it some gas it bogged down heavily at about 3k rpm.
Other symptoms include
Surging
Rich
High and or choppy idle
HUGE loss of power
WOT or full throttle would make the car cut out and almost die

I scanned it and found i had DTC code 22 DTC22 (OBD1)
which is "low TPS sensor voltage"
Correct voltage should be .6v at idle and 5v at WOT
Mine was below .2v at idel and only registering 50% throttle when i was actully full throttle

I replaced the sensor can be found at local auto parts store
Reinstalled TPS sensor
Becuase iI have a aftermarket TB, I enlongated the mounting hole so that it read .65v at idlea and verified it went to WOT

Problem fixed
