Question Does anyone have an engine built by tpis or doug rippie motorsports in minnesota?

Looking at getting a stroker lt1 and looking for a good shop located around wyoming or the minnesota area. Wondering if t.p.i.s. (tuned port specialties) or d.r.m. (doug rippie motorsports) are just ok or real good? Any response is appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

I have heard good things about TPIS but in my opinion they are way overpriced.

Rumor on the street is doug is going to be closing the shop due to some "extenuating cerciumstances". I have a feeling though he will be back with in a couple years to the business. I may suggest Hi-Tech motorsports if TPIS dosen't fit your bill. Brian Ebert, (DRM's old head tech) runs the joint. VERY high quality at decent prices.

Don't know if Brian has a website. Smaller shop but that way it really keeps the quality up. I have thier phone number listed below. Just leave a message, they will call you back. Kinda hard when there is only 2 guys working there on a F/T basis.

(763) 712-9088

If you go down there make sure to check out his C5, went 1.37 at BIR on the road course!

Sounds like Combination Motorsports in Las Vegas might be the way to go. Does anyone have first hand experience with their work? Anyone have a stroker built by them?

If you don't want to go local there are tons of choices, never worked with them or known anyone (aside from on here) that has worked with them. I'm sure you saw the post, they seem to have a good rep. I might suggest Phenoix if your not going ot go local.
