do you need the ac bracket to delete AC?

i have 2 motors both have the A/C delete bracket. i need new wires so i got some taylor universal wires with opti ends and i wanna run them long and and down close to the block.

(got the idea from taner at MID-MICHIGAN)

question is, can i just remove the A/C bracket i have and get a shorter belt? i think it would work right?

otherwise i'm gonna cut a 2 inch hold in the A/C bracket and run wires through it!!!!!!

anyone got a comment?

theres no reason to drill anything. You can run aftermarket wires easily there.

But to answer your question, on the 1LE pulley you need the ac bracket because that is what the pulley attaches to. Its a little tricky but you'll get all the wires in there...

I ran my wires through there without cutting holes in anything.
Put some convoluted tubing over the wires to keep them from getting chafed and your good to go.
