Do I need an installation kit? (loudmouth)

I have the loudmouth and am ready to have it installed. But, do I need an installation kit to do it? The site I bought it from said that I needed the 96-97 installation kit to install it. However, I think someone on this board posted that since I have a 96z I have dual cats and then dont need an installation kit. Thanks.

I've heard from a few people that they didn't need the install kit. I think the only thing different is the shape of the rubber piece the hangers go into and the LT1, but I'm not 100% sure.

I bought the kit for my 93, but I have single cat, and I needed the S-Pipe that was in the kit because no shop would mandrel bend me a pipe. I used the hangers and bolts in the kit too so it was worth it for me. However, I do not think you need that S-Pipe on your car, so you could do without the install kit
